..AND THERE IS LIFE EVERYWHERE

Dear students,

Exodus! tomorrow some of us will leave smas while the remaining few are still awaiting other offers. They, led by Tikkoh and the geng will fly in a flock. The good news for her friends is they don't have to bring along 'bedok' (haha) as Tikkoh has enough stock already.By the way, we are so proud of you, not merely with your result but with your resolution in search of better opportunity for better future.

Your antics and demeanours during and after classes shared during your stay in smas will be forever etched in our memories. See, miss's confession of how deep her love to all of you. You left an impact already and even Ust Ye was over the moon moments he came to acknowledge of your result. In thought he could not believe his eyes first. But fact remains fact and you are the one who make smas residents look up to your batch! The best result ever achieved by smas inhabitants. Bravo!

The sad news for the next cohorts is it would be an uphill battle for them to surpass your record as you already registered almost 100% pass(only short 3 percent) for English. What you have done was phenomenal and revolutionary. We teachers merely guided you as you are the ones who fought in the so called battle field.
We, miss Farah and I owe you lots and lots! Above all..we love you all unconditionally! Do forgive us for our wrong doings as we are human. To err is human and to forgive is divine.

ANOTHER REVOLUTION IN WAITING

Dearest students,

2010 is almost a month old, we are still in knowing each other in terms of methods on how to best equip yourself to face the hardest battle in your school life, they name it SPM. Old timers harshly put it as Sijil Pah Mapuh, i do agree though it seems outrageous as at times i have been asked to produce SPM before the interviewers in whatever job application process i have experienced. Every single letter indicating your achievement printed on SPM really matters. The rest is your faith as they say faith can move mountain or even send mountainous ranges to flat.

This year is my fifth year teaching under the helm of both jheat and kpm. Both are still in a fued over some matters concerning rights and scopes of power over management, teachers, staff, students and school properties. We, teachers sometimes are in the dark to whom we need to pay a heed over redundancy of rules and directives from both parties. Both claim that they have bigger share respectively without coming with a clear cut blue print which we teachers can refer to. Not knowing when this ever flowing tide will ebb as people are ever hungry for power, status and funnily jobs themselves. Only when they are about to be stripped off the so called status they become like cats on the hot bricks. What a shame! Nevertheless, it is of small importance to me as it is the tax payers who pay my salary and theirs as well. They, officers from either jheat and kpm are no better than us teachers as they are entitled to their own self made clash of conflicts and interests. So long it does not implicate us, you my dear students and teachers. Our task as teachers is to provide you the best educational experience we are capable of. We, are to help you make a change for a betterment provided you are also fully cooperative in our pursuit.

This year is a departure year for SPM candidates of 2010. Of course, you want to leave something worthy to remember and can bring back smiles to your face while reminiscing moments of truth. From the latest post by Miss Farah, i could feel how and what she felt while teaching you all even in just a very short period. It seems you have what it takes to succeed that is patience and determination. The determination portrayed on your very face was not a fake. It was real and fiery. I myself could feel it from the class of 5c where they in earnest took notes, scribbled on their log books things deemed important for them. That experience was of stark difference from what i experienced while teaching them last two years. The saying, everthing changes except the change itself. Only change remains unchanged. Thank Allah, they change for better.

Should you my dear students, remain honest, positive, persistent and dogged in your quest for excellence. Helps from the Almighty will come in abundance that you can hardly imagine. They say miracles happen everyday. Nevertheless miracles are best friends of those who keep on toiling themselves despite odds and setbacks. Then. there will be ANOTHER REVOLUTION.

AFTER SOMETIMES..POK LOH IS THE MOST SUITABLE TOPIC

Dear students,

Where are you now? staring at the computer screen? or contempleting what your future holds as many of your comrades were decisive to land on greener pastures . The like of Ju and Saiful are now starting to adapt with their newfound turf in Pelong! Pok Lah and Mat Tin on other pastures respectively. It is hoped they are not in a haste to become good or look good, or 'wat bijjak' haha. By the way, they deserve a pat on their back for their bold decision to materialise their dream. If you have to dream, dream big anyway as we are too small to be humble!

Thank you for sparing a few seconds on this blog solely set up by us English teachers to update things related to your progress in English last year. Last Thurday, on my way back home from smas, with two so called 'school offenders' huddled at the back seats of my beetle, I stumbled upon two teenagers at your age riding kapcai while one them waving frantically at my herbie.I thought he was a fan of turtle. I just ignored them only to regret later when i was told by one of the offenders he was Pok Lah, the always- smiling guy.I, swift as possible turned but he was nowhere to be seen. Like a rush of small fountain, i could feel memories with Pok Lah started swarming around and over my head. It is still vivid in my memory that our student-teacher relationship kicked off when he was caught red-handed while inhaling useless smoke inside male teachers' toilet. Not to further complicate the matter , I did ask him to keep the cigar and not to throw it away,a proof that he was once caught for committing an offence in the school compound. sort of blackmailing haha , it proved to bear fruits as he managed to finish almost all English homework assigned starting after the day of the incident onwards. And he passed the subject. He did keep the remaining cigar and he kept his words. I decided not to have a follow up and reluctantly swept the case under the carpet in my capacity as one of discipline teachers as I have a hunch that he knew what i was about to say about dos and donts. Only sometimes, i teased him about 'rokok daun' and his friends broke into laughters the moment i mentioned 'rokok daun'. He did not hold any grudges for the teasing. We had happy and hilarious moments then as learning should sometimes be fun.

I am not sure this writing is a revelation of sort, but i am of the view that it is nothing but past stories worthy to share for we, human beings are far from being perfect. Keep correcting ourselves and forgiving ever-forgivable actions of our fellow beings as it is propagated in our religion Islam. Whether Pok Lah is repentent for his misdeeds or not is beyond our capacity to make amends. All we , teacher Farah and I, and you all my dear students, can do our part which may bring about a betterment to him, our little Pak Lah is keep on wishing him the best of luck and may he will become a meaningful man now and always . Who knows? he will be a great philanthropist one day? donating here and there and championing human rights' issue at national or even international level.

To all of you , students of pmr batch 2009. Next year another major exam will haunt you, failure to register your best, it will possibly will haunt you a life time and badly affect your confidence level. Start devising strategies now! Keep you faith, you have almost reached your destination, keep pushing yourself to the best level you are capable of doing and never look back! Never write off yourself in your noble pursuit! keep trying, keep your faith, what matters most is the process itself, the climb! keep on climbing!and pluck slowly and carefully the fruits of success or you will be overwhelmed by the success itself. Remember.. success is also God's creature! It vanishes and is ephemeral.

Time for Jumaat prayers now, life is series of testings and evaluations. Be always prepared for the real testing from Him.

BON VOYAGE IN ADVANCE

Dear students,

The atmosphere that you feel now is starkly contrast from that of the last year as you no longer think of the so called imminent danger PMR exam, provided you are always prepared. Some of you are in doubt whether or not to stay at the same school as it treasures a lot of bitter sweet memories after being together for three years.

Some can't wait to bid farewell to this school for good for no apparent reason be it personal or family or others. Some, I mean those hitting their target in the last year exam, aspire to start wallowing in the stream of choice look all smiles contempleting of the new atmosphere they are going to experience within weeks or months.

Whatever in your mind, we teacher Farah and I wish you all the very best of luck. Be bold in your decision and fight to the best level you can to prove that you have made the right decision.

Again, thank you all of you, Saiful Suhana Syamil Aliyah Hafiz and the list goes on ..you made our school proud! we are very proud of you. But, don't brat yourself as you have just started your journey and your true journey is still far from over! Be calm and cool and keep on thanking God for his endless blessings upon us.

Sir
